How does ASU's Dance Program rank nationally?
Dance Teacher magazine ranks the ASU Herberger Institute School of Dance undergraduate program ninth in the nation (seventh among public institutions) and the graduate program fifth in the nation (fourth among public institutions).
How do you become a dance major at ASU?
You must apply to, and be accepted by, Arizona State University as a Dance Interview Major. Once accepted to the university, you must apply to and participate in the Herberger Institute School of Dance Interview Day for acceptance into the program.

Do you have scholarship auditions?
All students that participate in the Interview Days are considered for scholarships as part of the process. In order to be eligible for fall scholarships, you must interview in February.
What scholarships are available?
Students may be considered by the School of Dance for merit-based scholarships.

The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts maintains an Office of Student Success, and a full-time consultant who aids you with writing resumes and seeking career opportunities. During your institute career, the School of Dance offers many opportunities to work with the professional dance community through guest artist residencies and internships.
