Mission

The ASU Herberger Institute School of Dance exists to foster a training ground for engaged and active artists, who use dance as their primary tool. We aim to produce artists who can thrive in diverse contexts, and make singular and unique contributions to the evolution of a vibrant dance culture around the globe.

A process of continuous inquiry and evaluation is at the heart of our program, ensuring that we constantly reflect on what it is we are learning and why. The curriculum is a dynamic learning environment focused on current and future global dance practices, informed by our unique set of principles, the learning lens.
