Interview Day Schedules
We are delighted that you are interested in interviewing for the Department of Dance in the Herberger College of the Arts at Arizona State University.
Any student who wishes to interview must be admitted to Arizona State University as a pre-dance major before they can interview.

The first step in the admission process is for you to apply for admission to the university. Information about the application process can be found on the Arizona State University Web site www.asu.edu/apply. Once you have applied and have been accepted by the university, you will need to register for the Herberger College Dance Interview Day.
To register for the interview, submit a Herberger College Dance application (available online or from the Herberger College Office of Enrollment), two letters of recommendation (one technique, one academic) and a 250-word personal statement. Your statement is evaluated based on the following: ideas and content, originality, clarity of expression, voice, sentence fluency and word choice.
Essay Questions
First-time dance applicants: Herberger College Dance at Arizona State University revolves around the notion of fostering and nurturing creativity. This central principle informs all areas of practice and is supported by a core set of values – humanity, leadership, reflection and context. Describe why these core values are important to dance and how you hope to develop as a student at ASU.
Re-interviewing applicants: Describe what you have done to develop yourself and your dance knowledge since your last interview (identify workshops attended, ASU classes, master classes, key experiences, etc. and address the core values of the program as detailed above).
